Saint Ego Editions · Platform Comparison

Framer or Webflow

Two hosted platforms, one small property, and a decision that has to hold for several years. This page compares them the way an owner should read them, including the cases where Webflow is plainly the better answer. We build on Framer, and we will tell you when that is the wrong choice for you.

Saint Ego Editions is the template house of Saint Ego Studio, Dubai and Paris, building editorial Framer templates for hospitality, wellness and design brands from 49 USD at launch. The first Edition, the hospitality Edition is in development. Nothing is on sale yet and early access is by email at hello@saint-ego.studio.

On saleTwo Editions are on sale today, Les Gourmands and Aperture Office. Complete React source, the original photography included. Single licence 89 USD, one published website. Studio licence 179 USD, up to five.

Six honest questions

Where Webflow wins

Structured complexity. Forty room types with amenity filters, a residences portfolio with cross references, a shop with variants and stock. Webflow holds structures that Framer would strain against, and pretending otherwise would waste your money.
Several languages, properly. Webflow localisation lets you translate, adjust the layout per market and serve locale specific URLs. For a property selling into Arabic, French and English with genuinely different landing pages, that is a real advantage.
Interaction control. A granular interactions panel, scroll choreography and custom code embeds mean almost anything Framer can do, Webflow can also do, given the hours and a person who enjoys spending them.
The talent market. Years of tutorials, agencies and freelancers in every timezone, with an established rate. If you want a stranger to be able to pick your site up in 2030 without knowing you, Webflow is the more likely answer today.
Governance. Staging, roles, versioning and backups for a group with several properties, a marketing lead and an agency that all need to work on the same site without standing on each other.

Where Framer wins

Time to opening. A drawn Edition can be filled with your rooms, your photographs and your rates and be live in days, which matters when the opening date is booked and the website is the last thing on the list.
The handover survives. Someone who has never opened a design tool can change a paragraph, swap a photograph or add a journal entry without dismantling the layout underneath.
Motion behaves. Cadence is set once at the file level, so the page you add in March moves at the same speed as the page drawn in January, and the site stays calm as it grows.
Two drawn layouts. Desktop and phone are composed separately rather than squeezed from one into the other, and a guest chooses a suite on a phone, in bed, at midnight.
Fewer ways to break it. Fewer settings, fewer classes and fewer hidden dependencies mean fewer late night accidents, which is the real maintenance cost of a small site.
